Speedway Manager Dave Parker said, “What a night. Wheel to wheel racing in the solo and sidecar races, on a great track produced some great racing, and the new airfence, terracing and venue improvements just topped the night.

“I have to thank all the riders who rode last night for Leigh, it was fantastic that so many travelled from so far away.

“And the spectators who travelled from Poland, Scotland, UK and interstate that I caught up with, thanks for putting yourself out and visiting our stadium.

“I must say to all my workers, a great job on the venue, track and support you have given me to get the meeting on, great job”.

An elated Leigh Adams said, “It is a credit to everyone at Gillman for what they have achieved down here. Every time I come back, and I drop in quite a lot, there is always something new which has been built, or is getting built.

“I must thank Dave and all his workers for putting my meeting on last night, the venue came up a peach, the track was just awesome and produced fantastic racing. The sidecars, which have been a part of my speedway career, were just mint and with the great track conditions, the racing in the solos and sidecars you couldn’t find any better anywhere.”
